This is a generic ESL resources collection that you might want to utilise in your classroom if you either teach an ESL class or have a class made predominantly of ESL or LBOTE students. They have been identified as providing opportunity to explore the topic of Asylum seekers whilst developing proficiency in English

(How it works: Even though the attached files still have some clues, the way this activity works is each student is given a crossword with half of the words already solved. Students then are encouraged to give hints to their partner on the words that they have. The aim is to get both students to complete their crosswords without saying the words directly. This allows ESL students to communicate ideas in various ways whilst developing their speaking skills)
